Update: Changing things up
What's Up!
Welp, it’s been a few months since I posted, so I’ve certainly failed my New Year resolution of posting once per month, lol.
It turns out that someone else also had the great idea to start a blog called “The Young Entrepreneur” and has been doing it for quite some time now. So cutose to that guy, he’s killing it, and great minds must think alike! However, with that in mind, I, of course, cannot continue to publish under that name anymore (hence the rebranding)
That’s right, this webpage/blog/newsletter/whateverthisthingwillbe is now called “Building Up” where I hope to build you and myself up to the great people I know we are destined to be. I spent a good few weeks trying to come up with names and logos, etc, and putting my head in the sand for a bit, wondering if I was doing the right thing, and this is where I landed. Hopefully, you like the new logo and this idea of building ourselves up together :).
I plan to continue posting here on the Beehive platform, but I may soon switch to WordPress, depending on how things go. I find this web service is more for newsletters, and I am more of a blogger-style writer, so let me know what you think. Would you prefer long-form content? Or some shorter stuff? If I switch at some point, I’ll post a new link for you to join, so don’t worry; I won’t forget about you!
Either way, I hope your 2025 has gone off to a better start than you thought it would be. There’s a lot of worry around North America, but if I had any wisdom to pass on to you, it would be from my great-grandmother Clapham - “Don’t stress about what you can’t change. Everything may end up being fine, and if you stress the whole time, you may realise that you have stressed yourself out for nothing.”
Control the controllables in your life, and you will be able to focus on the next thing you must do to make tomorrow a little better than today - that’s why I write this to you; it makes me feel better doing something for myself that I can control if I feel like things are running ahead of me or are out of my reach to change.
I hope all is well, and I’ll leave you with this catchy song suggestion that’s been stuck in my head for about a week now. It’s called Options - Cameron Whitcomb.
Talk soon 😎
Alex.
